On 07/23/2020, the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway for a seatbelt violation.

 Officer Phillips made contact with Fredrick Reed and noticed that he was hiding something inside of his sock. Officer Phillips had ask Reed to exit the vehicle and take a seat on the ground so that he could retrieve what he was hiding inside his sock. Fredrick then fled on foot a short distance before being apprehended where he continued to resist arrest. Officers was able to take Reed into custody and also located Marijuana, a Glock .40 caliber handgun, a large amount of cash and Hydrocodone.

 Fredrick F. Reed of Bowling Green Ky., was arrested and charged with Failure To Wear Seat Belt, Fleeing Or Evading Police 2nd Degree (On Foot), Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Trafficking In Control Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (>Or=10 D.U. Opiates)(Enhancement), Possession Control Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Opiates)(Enhancement), Possession Of Marijuana (Enhancement), Prescription Control Substance Not In Proper Container 1st Offense.

 

The arrest was made by Officer Hayden Phillips, assisted by Officer Allen Riffle.
