GLASGOW, Ky. – A domestic complaint led to the arrest of a Glasgow man.
Glasgow Police responded to Waterford Lane on Saturday in reference to a domestic complaint. While speaking to the victim, a detective observed a vehicle traveling in a reckless manner before crashing into a parked car.
The subject exited the vehicle and began to flee on foot. Police apprehended the man.
Allen Laponce Maupin, 53, was arrested and charged with fourth degree assault (domestic violence, no visible injury), leaving the scene of an accident (failure to render aid or assistance), first degree wanton endangerment, first degree criminal mischief, failure to report an accident, reckless driving and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence (second offense).
Maupin also faces several traffic offenses. He was lodged at the Barren County Jail.
