In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Horse Cave Rotary Board of Directors
approved the purchase and donation of 2,000 face masks to be delivered to Signature
HealthCARE of Hart County in Horse Cave.
“We worked with Signature HealthCARE to determine their highest priority needs and
that included masks,” said Horse Cave Rotary 2019-2020 President Andrew Tucker. “We
are thrilled to be able to help an organization like Signature that is right here in our
community.”
The Rotary International organization is a non-profit organization composed of
businesses and professionals united worldwide who provide humanitarian service,
encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and work to build international
goodwill and peace.
The Horse Cave Rotary Club was organized in 1938. Through the years, the Club has
initiated or assisted in many important county-wide projects and continue to do so
today through high school scholarships, recognition of students of the month and
donations to help provide holiday meals to families in need in our area. In the recent
past, the Horse Cave Rotary Club has been very involved in area literacy programs for
students.
“Even though we aren’t meeting in person right now, we felt it was important to
continue Rotary’s mission of service, especially during these challenging times,” said
Tucker.
“We truly appreciate the Rotary Club for thinking of us, especially during the pandemic,”
said Angela Croghan, Admissions Director at Signature HealthCARE. “Our staff and
residents can certainly use these resources as we move forward in a ‘new normal.’”.
