Thomas Russell Laswell, age 79, of Bee Spring, KY passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1941 in Jefferson County to the late James Laswell and Nellie Ruth Dennison Laswell. He was married to Bonnie Sue Garner Laswell, who survives.
Russell was a retired mechanic for Philip Morris. He was a minister and member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, Sellersburg, IN. Russell enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved going to church and playing corn-hole.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory– one daughter, Shannon Cook (Wendell) of Sellersburg, IN; one son, Robie Faris of Leitchfield; four grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Evan and Tanner; six great-grandchildren, Marley, Brendan, Piper, Addisyn, Emery and Aliyah; one sister, Betty Breshear and one brother, Frank Laswell (Sandy). He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jay, Daniel and Calvin Laswell.
Funeral Service for Thomas Russell Laswell will be Friday at Noon at the Christian Home General Baptist Church. Interment will be in Christian Home Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 1 pm, at Christian Home General Baptist Church. The Patton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
