EDMONTON, Ky. – A single-vehicle collision in Metcalfe County Tuesday resulted in one arrest.

Authorities say service was requested after a collision at 7:30 p.m. along Jack Sparks Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates Crystal L. Davis, 36, was driving a 2005 Nissan Sentra southbound along the roadway. Davis purportedly left the southbound shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof in the roadway.

Davis fled the scene of the accident, according to a news release from the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office. Police later discovered synthetic marijuana inside her car.

Davis was located at a nearby residence. Authorities say she was intoxicated.

Davis refused field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer exam at the Edmonton Police Department.

Davis is lodged at the Barren County Detention Center. She faces charges relating to operating a motor vehicle under the influence (fourth offense), driving on a DUI suspended license (third offense), possession of synthetic drugs and several other traffic offenses.
