GLASGOW, Ky. – The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is set to reopen Wednesday in a limited capacity.

Amy Tollison, Adult Services Manager at Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library, released a statement Monday and said the library will reopen but restrictions will apply as a part of the “Healthy at Work” guidelines set forth by the state government.

“The library will be open with a limited capacity of 33% and limited hours,” the statement said.

Hours have shifted to 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The MWWML will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. No services will be available on Mondays.

Patrons may use computers and check out books and movies, but in-person programming will not be permitted.

Computer use will be limited to 30-minute sessions. Due to social distancing requirements, no one-on-one help will be permitted, according to the statement.

“We suggest you bring someone with you if you will need assistance,” the statement said.

Drive-thru services will be offered, as well as online services and programming.

The library is asking that all returns be made through the book drop so items can be quarantined for 72 hours.

As an incentive, any overdue fees will be waived for lost or damaged items that accrued before July 1, 2020.

“We want to offer everyone in our community a fresh start so that each of you are able to come in and take advantage of all the services we offer!” the statement said.
