The Kentucky Blueberry Grower’s Association is gearing up for the 12th annual Blueberry Festival in Edmonton town square. The festival, which runs from tomorrow morning to Saturday afternoon, has grown since its humble beginnings as a seasonal blueberry sale at a local grocery store.

 

The Blueberry Festival is now one of Metcalfe County’s biggest events each year. President of the Kentucky Blueberry Grower’s Association, Larry Martin tells WCLU News:

Martin says there are plans to make the festival a statewide event:

Despite its growth in recent years, the Festival still maintains its’ local charm. Martin explains:

The Blueberry festival will begin with a pancake breakfast tomorrow at 7am. Food, music and games will be available throughout the day.
