Glasgow, KY  –  Connie Moore’s journey in the floral business began 36 years ago when her oldest son, Benji, was just 3 years old.  After working part-time for Glen Bray at Caverna Florist, she found another opportunity working for Jimmy White at Barren County Florist.  But, in 2006, she found her way into business ownership by partnering with local businessman, Patrick Gaunce.  For the last 18 years, she has owned and operated All in Bloom Florist on the corner of Happy Valley Road and North Race Street across from the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home.

Moore grew the business and eventually bought out her business partner.  She notes many reasons why her style of florist business has had success in Barren County.

As the 2023 Best of The Barrens winner of Best Flower Shop, Moore says the recognition reassures the value of the hard work she and her staff put in, each day.

Over the years, Moore says the small interactions with customers when being there for them to help them out or, at least,  comfort them during a time of loss is the most meaningful part of what she does.  Those moments can be serious some days, and other days you might just have a horse walk in your store, as she explains.

Other businesses are up for the 2024 Best of The Barrens Contest in various categories.  The voting will begin next week.  The recognition, as explained by Moore, makes others feel good about what their mission is as a leader and as a business.
