Glyn Bowles, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, November 25th, at Monroe County Medical Center. Glyn was born in Monroe County on February 11, 1927, a son of the late Haskel and Ada (Crabtree) Bowles. On August 7, 1954, he married Gladys (Burks) Bowles who survives him. He worked as a dairy farmer for over 60 years, was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, and served as a member of the Air Force in World War II. Glyn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Glyn and Diana Bowles, of Mt. Hermom, KY. 5 grandchildren; Dallas Bowles, Cindy Bowles Walden, Melissa Bowles Buck, Matthew Glyn Bowles, and Shelley Bowles Capshaw (Brandon). 3 great granddaughters; Ashlynn Bowles, Alyssa Walden and Emmalyn Capshaw. Glyn is also survived by 4 nieces; Kay Bowles Darnell, Connie Bowles Goodman, Carolyn Bowles Sorrell and Sharon Bowles Howard. Several great nieces also survive. Glyn is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gary Bowles. Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 26 at 11:00 A.M. with James Howell officiating. Visitation will be Monday after 4:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and Tuesday 6:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in the White Cemetery. Donations are suggested to Mudlick Fire Department and American Cancer Society. --
