Jimmy Cordell Copas age 65 of Tompkinsville died Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Monroe County Medical Center. 

He is survived by his mother Mildred Turner Copas; two sons, Christopher Copas and wife Teresa and Jimmie Wayne Copas and wife Samantha; two daughters Angela Watson and husband Boy and Jamie “Tiny” Beaty and husband Chris; five brothers David, Harold, Darrell, Ronnie and James Copas and one sister Betty Copas all of Tompkinsville. Eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also surviving. 

Funeral services for Jimmy Cordell Copas will be held at 2pm Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Jane Yokley Cemetery.  Visitation after 2pm Wednesday.
