Tales from the Treehouse: 10:00 AM
Tales from the Treehouse is a story time program designed for toddlers and preschoolers. This event is held outdoors at The Grove (located behind Ralphie’s Fun Center). Each week will feature a new theme, with songs, stories, and an activity or craft. Please register online.
Color Our World: 1:00 PM
Unwind and get creative at our weekly adult coloring time! Join us every Tuesday this month for a relaxing hour of coloring, conversation, and calm. We’ll provide coloring pages and supplies, or feel free to bring your own. No experience needed—just drop in and enjoy a little peaceful, screen-free fun.
VolunTeens: 1:00 PM
Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend your summer? Join VolunTEENS, designed for youth ages 13-18 who are eager to earn service hours, build their resumes, and make a difference in their community. Help with important tasks like organizing materials, preparing for programs, supporting children’s activities, and keeping the library a welcoming space for all. You’ll gain valuable experience, meet new friends, and contribute to a vibrant community hub. Online registration is required.

Watercolor Salt Painting: 4:30 PM
Children ages 5-12 will create their own design using glue, salt, and liquid watercolors. Please register online.
Red Ink Writers’ Circle: 6:00 PM
Meet together with other local writers for manuscript critique and for support. Each writer will have a chance to read a five-minute section of a manuscript, then receive comments from group members with the aim of strengthening your writing. Please bring copies of your selected pages for group members (copies can also be made at the library for $.15 per page). Open to adult authors of all genres.
The library will be closed for the 4th of July.

For the Love of Neat-ure is a program that aims to educate children on the importance of responsible caring for the world around us. Utilizing the principles of “leave no trace,” David Curran will educate the youth of our community on how they can reduce their impact on nature and make the world a neater place to live. Please register online.
Tiny Treasures: Air-Dry Clay Trinket Workshop: 5:00 PM
In this hands-on workshop, teens and tweens will craft one-of-a-kind trinkets using air-dry clay—perfect for making keychains, mini sculptures, or personalized decorations. All materials provided. Online registration is required.

Let the pages of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie come alive with a Louisville Orchestra ensemble. Join us for the captivating "Once Upon an Orchestra" series, where live interactive storytelling meets the magic of music—an experience the whole family will enjoy. No need to RSVP for this free community event proudly presented as part of the LO’s Statewide “In Harmony Tour.” A heartfelt thank you to the Kentucky General Assembly and the Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet for making these enriching performances possible!

Beat the summer slide by attending math tutoring sessions with Lisa Mencer. She’s a retired teacher with a special education certification and is certified to teach elementary, middle, and high school. She will be tutoring for four of her summer evenings to help with skill attainment in the area of fractions! Online registration is required ; spots are limited.

Check out a cookbook from the library, pick a recipe, and prepare a dish featuring the theme “Color Your Food.” Use natural colors in your recipe—fruits, vegetables, spices, or garnishes—for a healthy and beautiful dish. Bring your creation to the library to share with fellow food enthusiasts. Sign up at the library or online to participate. Page Turners: 10:00 AM
The book selection this month is The Drowning Tree, by Carol Goodman. An elite college is proud of its history. After a controversial lecture by an alumna casts doubts on a portion of that proud history, the lecturer is found dead in the river. Was it really suicide? Her best friend, Juno, possibly the last person to have seen her alive, is soon drawn into the investigation as she becomes increasingly convinced that the death was murder.
