Tales from the Treehouse is a story time program designed for toddlers and preschoolers. This event is held outdoors at The Grove (located behind Ralphie’s Fun Center). Each week will feature a new theme, with songs, stories, and an activity or craft. Please register online.
Color Our World: 1:00 PM
Unwind and get creative at our weekly adult coloring time! Join us every Tuesday this month for a relaxing hour of coloring, conversation, and calm. We’ll provide coloring pages and supplies, or feel free to bring your own. No experience needed—just drop in and enjoy a little peaceful, screen-free fun.

Red Ink Writers’ Circle: 6:00 PM
Meet together with other local writers for manuscript critique and for support. Each writer will have a chance to read a five-minute section of a manuscript, then receive comments from group members with the aim of strengthening your writing. Please bring copies of your selected pages for group members (copies can also be made at the library for $.15 per page). Open to adult authors of all genres.

Summer Reading Kick-off: 10:00 AM – Noon
Stop by the library to register for our summer reading program. Get creative with fun, free activities such as decorating your own personalized tote, creating unique bookmarks for your collection, and designing and making your own buttons. For the love of Neat-ure is a program that aims to educate children on the importance of responsible caring for the world around us. Utilizing the principles of “leave no trace,” David Curran will educate the youth of our community on how they can reduce their impact on nature and make the world a neater place to live. Mario Kart Tournament: 3:00 PM
Let’s-a-go! Our hit Mario Kart Tournament is back and bigger than ever—this time, racers of all ages are invited to hit the track and compete for glory. Do a few fun crafts between rounds. The ultimate prize? One lucky winner will take home the mysterious and coveted question mark light. Cosplay encouraged. Snacks and good vibes guaranteed! Online registration is required.

Ice Cream Paper Mache: 4:30 PM
Children ages 5-12 (younger will need help from their grownup!) are invited to our two-day event, where they’ll create their own ice cream sundae using paper mâché. Expect to get messy on day one as we build our sundaes! We’ll let our sundaes dry for a week and meet back up to paint them and put on the finishing touches. Please register

Master storyteller Erik Larson offers a gripping account of the chaotic months between Lincoln’s election and the Confederacy’s shelling of Sumter—a period marked by tragic errors and miscommunications, enflamed egos and craven ambitions, personal tragedies and betrayals. Lincoln himself wrote that the trials of these five months were “so great that, could I have anticipated them, I would not have believed it possible to survive them.” Pick up a copy of the book at the library, read, and join the group for discussion.
