James Owens, 34, and Crystal Crone, 49, were arrested Tuesday in Cave City after police discovered drugs inside a car.

CAVE CITY — Two people inside a vehicle parked at a Cave City restaurant along North Dixie Highway were found to be in possession of drugs.
The police department was dispatched Tuesday to Dairy Queen in reference to a welfare check. Two subjects appeared “to be passed out in a vehicle,” a news release said. Officers arrived and found two people inside the car.
Crystal Crone, 49, and James Owens, 34, were inside the car, police said. A search of the car revealed some pills and baggies, police alleged. Owens said the items were his.
Police later confirmed the pills were alprazolam and amphetamine. He was placed under arrest and charged with several drug charges. Crone was also arrested. She had six arrest warrants.
Both were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
