CAVE CITY —An Ohio man died in a Sunday afternoon crash along Interstate 65 in Barren County.
State Police said they responded to a reported single vehicle injury crash about 3:20 p.m. The crash happened near mile marker 53.
Police allege Mark D. Baughan, 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was driving along the interstate when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the center concrete barrier wall. The vehicle overturned.
Baughan was flown to University Hospital in Louisville. He was listed in critical condition but later died.
A passenger inside the car was identified as Laura Baughan, 68, also of Cincinnati, and she was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital. She was treated for minor injuries and was later released.
The crash remains under investigation.
