GLASGOW — An annual service will be held Monday at the First Baptist Church in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The church resides in Glasgow’s Liberty District. It’s located at 611 S. Lewis St.
The Liberty District Association usually begins at the Barren County Courthouse with brief comments. Those attending then march to the First Baptist Church from downtown Glasgow.
The 2022 event will not include a march. Those wishing to attend should report to the church at 1 p.m. Ray Woodie, pastor at Coral Hill Baptist Church, is this year’s speaker.
In other news regarding Glasgow’s Liberty District, the community soup kitchen is closed Monday. The closure comes after a round of inclement weather poured snow and ice across the area Sunday.
