Cave City FEMA location, among others closed Thursday

Jan 6, 2022 | 7:12 AM

CAVE CITY — FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers across the region are closed Thursday due to impending weather.

These disaster centers are serving areas impacted by tornadoes in early December. A recent location opened in northern Barren County.

A winter storm warning was issued Wednesday for most Kentucky’s central region.

The Cave City location is closed. It’s normally open from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. daily.

It’s unclear if FEMA will extend their time in Cave City. They were scheduled to close the location Jan. 9. They will return Jan. 20, however.
