GLASGOW, Ky. – According to the office of the Barren County Judge/Executive; Poynter Road has been reopened.

GLASGOW, Ky. – Poynter Road is closed as of Saturday morning. Heavy rains caused a road tile to wash out a section of the road.
From asphalt to asphalt, the gap is around six feet across and four feet deep. Damage like this is not visible until water recedes, this is why motorists are warned not to drive through water when it covers the roadway.
Depending on weather conditions, crews hope to have repair work sometime late Saturday or early Sunday.
