On Wednesday the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop on South Green Street. Officer Trey Wyatt made contact with Jason Akers and received consent to search the vehicle where he located glass pipes, marijuana, and methamphetamine. After performing a field sobriety test, Officer Wyatt determined Akers to be impaired.
Akers of Cave City was arrested and charged with:
Possession of marijuana
Failure to produce an insurance card
No registration receipt
No registration plates
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance 1st offense
Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense
Officer Wyatt was assisted by Officer Jewlie Robinson.
