Carole Ann Goodhue, 78, passed away on October 20, 2026. Born Carole Ann Tucker on July 2, 1948, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, she spent her life building a family, making memories, and sharing her kindness with those fortunate enough to know her.
On July 2, 1967, Carole married the love of her life, Jerry Goodhue. Sharing both her birthday and wedding anniversary, July 2 held a special place in their story. Together, Carole and Jerry worked hard to build a life and create the future they dreamed of. After years of hard work, they were fortunate enough to make their way to the lake, where they could enjoy the fruits of their labor and embrace a lifestyle they had long worked toward.
Carole was a kind and caring woman who always thought of others before herself. She had a generous heart and a welcoming spirit, and she was always ready to share the things she loved with family and friends.
Life at the lake brought Carole many happy days filled with boating, swimming, sunshine, and the simple pleasure of enjoying the water. She loved sharing that special place with anyone who wanted to visit, creating memories that would last long after the day was over.
Carole also had a love for adventure and travel. Whether riding on the back of a motorcycle or taking the road herself on her own bike, she enjoyed traveling across the country with a close-knit group of friends. Those journeys brought countless good times, laughter, and wonderful memories that she and Jerry and their friends would cherish for years to come.
One of Carole’s most endearing passions was her love for Mickey Mouse and all things Disney. Her affection for the beloved character was so great that she named her dear dog Disney, who will be laid to rest alongside her. It was a fitting tribute to a companion who shared a special place in her heart.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Winfrey Tucker and Ann Tucker.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Goodhue, and her only child, Jerry “Jay” Goodhue II. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Susan Brenstetter, Janet Bennett, and Beth Womack; and her brothers, Pat Tucker and Tim Tucker.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Todd Goodhue, Ashley Black, Justin Goodhue, and Kyle Goodhue; step-grandchildren, Nic Caswell and Zac Caswell; great-grandchildren, Dane Goodhue, Cadence Black, Corbin Black, Jo Goodhue, Camryn Goodhue, Bentley Goodhue, and Easton Goodhue; and her great-great-grandchild, Oliver Goodhue.
Carole also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were made better by knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. CST at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, Kentucky. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember Carole, celebrate her life, and share the memories she leaves behind.
Carole will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for family and friends, her adventurous spirit, and her willingness to put others before herself. From sunny days at the lake to miles traveled with friends on the open road, she built a life rich with experiences, relationships, and memories that will live on through the generations of family who carry her legacy forward.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
