Barren County High School’s Beta Club will host its first Beta Boo-zaar arts and crafts fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Trojan Academy gym.

The event will feature handmade gifts and local food trucks, according to Adeline Coleman, who is serving as state Beta president. Hope Campbell said more than 20 vendors and two food trucks were lined up for the fair.

The Halloween-themed event will also offer something for children. Students said children who attend wearing Halloween costumes can get candy supplied for the event.

The gym is in the Trojan Academy building between the middle school and high school. Parking is available in front of and behind the building.

Lillie Smith said planning began months ago, and Beta Club members will be on hand Saturday. The event is a fundraiser for the high school’s club.

Coleman appeared on Coffee and Conversation with fellow Beta members Smith and Campbell to preview the event. Smith is running for state Beta president, while Campbell was recently selected as a state leadership representative at a leadership summit.
