A Bowling Green man has been indicted in Barren County on an attempted fetal homicide charge after Kentucky State Police said he allegedly tampered with his pregnant girlfriend’s medication.

A woman in Glasgow contacted authorities and reported that her boyfriend, 26-year-old Abdullah Mohmand of Bowling Green, had replaced her prescription medication with Misoprostol, according to the indictment.

Police said the woman told investigators she was pregnant and was concerned for the safety of her unborn child.

After an investigation, troopers said a search warrant was obtained for Mohmand’s residence in Bowling Green.

During that search, investigators reportedly found Misoprostol that matched the unknown medication located at the woman’s home.

State police said Mohmand was arrested and taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
