The family for Dakota Dixon Lee has set up a GoFundMe account to help with costs associated with his time in hospital and funeral expenses.
On the fund page, the family wrote: “We are not a family that asks for help. We would much rather be the ones giving it. But right now, we are humbly asking our community, friends, family, and anyone who feels led to help us.”
Lee died Tuesday from injuries he sustained in a crash Sunday in Glasgow.
Lee was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson eastbound, according to a Glasgow Police Department preliminary investigation released Sunday afternoon. Linda Hurt attempted to make a left turn from Bowen Avenue onto East Main Street and the vehicles collided.
Lee was was transported from the scene by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services with life-threatening injuries, according to a police press release. Hurt was transported for minor injuries. Lee died Tuesday.
