A 22-year-old man is facing a first-degree criminal mischief charge after an incident involving property damage at a home on Woods Store-Etoile Road.
The call initially came in as a report of someone breaking windows at the residence, according to Barren County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Adam Bow. After deputies arrived on scene, they determined no windows had been broken, but two doors at the home were damaged. Bow said there were no injuries and no physical altercation between individuals. The incident involved property damage only.
Deputies conducted a quick search of the area after arriving at the scene. During that search, they located the suspect and took him into custody without further incident. The deputy identified the suspect as 22-year-old Gage Carver. Carver was transported to the Barren County Jail. Bow said Carver will be charged with first-degree criminal mischief. Criminal mischief in the first degree is a Class D felony, according to the Kentucky Revised Statute.
The initial report described the suspect as a grandson who came to the residence and damaged property, according to Bow.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call shortly after 2 p.m., according to Bow. The case is still under investigation.
