The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is celebrating 110 years of providing the community with free knowledge, stories and resources.
This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5, beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by Barren Inc. That will be followed by a cake provided by the Friends of the Library group.
Guests will also be able to enjoy crafts, a special library history display “and more as we honor over a century of learning, connection, and community,” according to a library announcement about the celebration.
While at Friday’s event, the library encourages patrons to sign up for their Summer Reading Program, which began this week.
There will also be a kid’s craft cart and a Sand, Splash and Scribble area in the courtyard.
