Can you spell archeology? What about velociraptor?
You might be interested in a unique event taking place next week at the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.
The Jurassic Spelling Bee will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 4.
This will be a collaborative event where participants compete in teams of two to four. In celebration of the library’s summer reading program — which has a dinosaur theme — the words will come from the world of paleontology and archaeology.
Spellers must be 18 or older, and while pre-registration is required to participate, attendance for audience members is free and open to the public.
Sign up online or at the library.
