Glasgow scored seven runs in the fourth inning en route to a 9-2 win over Warren East in 15th District contest Monday.

The Lady Scotties trailed 2-0 headed into the bottom of the fourth when Paige De Haas led off with a single. Jenna Glass entered to run for De Haas, and after an out, she moved second when NaTaya Lightfoot drew a walk.

Ayvah Maxey followed with a single that loaded the bases. Kenleigh Bale drove in Glass with a single, then Kerrigan Hagan slugged a double that cleared the bases.

That hit gave the Lady Scotties a 4-2 lead, but they weren’t done. Kayla Kirkpatrick followed with a single that set up a three-run bomb from Jakylie Green that pushed the lead to 7-2.

Glasgow added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to set the final score.

Hagan pitched the distance in the circle. She allowed nine hits, struck out five and walked none.

Green, Kirkpatrick, De Haas and Bale each posted two hits. Hagan, Maxey, Lightfoot, Glass, Kinley Stephens and Reece England each also posted a hit. Every Glasgow batter that came to the plate had a hit in the game.

The Lady Scotties improved to 9-11 overall and 2-4 in the district. They’ve won two district games in the same season for the first time since 2018. Monroe County was still in the district at that time.

Glasgow hosts Edmonson County on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
