A Glasgow man was arrested on numerous charges involving sexual abuse of a minor.
Forty-nine-year-old Raymond P. Goldsmith was found on Cranbrook Drive and arrested by Glasgow police officers, Barren County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and the Kentucky State Police on April 28, according to a Glasgow police press release.
Goldsmith, of Glasgow, was charged with first-degree rape – victim under 12 years of age, first-degree sodomy -victim under 12 years of age, first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12 years of age, PROC or PROM use of electronic means, and distribution of obscene matter to minors – first offense, according to the release.
Goldsmith was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center with a $250,000 bond secured by cash. His arraignment is scheduled for May 4 at 10 a.m., according to the jail website.
This case remains under investigation by Detective John Wallen with the Glasgow Police Department. The arrest was made by Lieutenant Nick Houchens, assisted by GPD Officers,
