Glasgow opened 15th District action with a 5-4 road loss at Allen County-Scottsville on Monday. The teams meet against Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Richardson Stadium.
The Scotties fell into a 4-1 hole in Scottsville before rallying. They scored three runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game, 4-4.
Braylen Caldwell led off with a double. Garett Shields followed with a bunt single and moved to third on an error. Caldwell scored on the error.
After two outs Keaton Haynes nailed a single and Shields scored. Carter Hodges followed with a triple that drove in Haynes.
The Patriots retook the lead with a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fifth.
Glasgow managed only one hit over the final two innings.
Haynes, Hodges and Landon Martin each had two hits in the game. Caldwell, Shields and Thomas Glass each added a hit.
Haynes also pitched five innings. He allowed seven hits, struck out seven and walked five. Steven Garrett closed the sixth inning and allowed a hit, struck out two and walked one.
The Scotties fell to 12-11 overall and 0-1 in the district.
