The Magic Kingdom is coming to Glasgow this weekend.

As Glasgow High School presents its spring musical “Frozen,” there will be a special Saturday morning matinee that will be a kid-friendly performance. This show will also include something unique before all the singing begins — a character breakfast.

“We are doing something different,” Director Sarah Shepherd said. “We are doing a Saturday matinee that’s aimed towards specifically littles, trying to make it friendly for them to get up and dance and sing along if they want to.”

The Glasgow Independent Schools Alumni Association is sponsoring the character breakfast that morning.

“So if you buy tickets for Saturday morning, you can also opt to purchase the character breakfast option,” Shepherd said. “That would be pictures with the characters, and then just kind of like a meet-and-greet breakfast prior to the show.”

The Character Breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, with the show starting at 10:30 a.m. Other showtimes for the musical include 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

“We want kids to come to any of the showings,” Shepherd said. “But that one specifically, we are kind of saying: ‘Hey, if you want to stand up and dance and if you want to come down and sing, you’re welcome to do that.’”

Tickets are available at GHSmusical.ludus.com.
