Glasgow News 1

The Barren County Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Glasgow’s Chick-fil-A to sell its original chicken sandwiches at Jackie Browning Park during upcoming sporting events.

Parks Director Chris Jennings first mentioned the partnership at the Feb. 13 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting when it was still in its infancy.

The sandwiches will be offered at the park’s concession stand, priced at approximately $6.50, according to Jennings. They would take the place of the current sandwiches that are made in-house, which are not sold as frequently as other food at the games.

The softball tournament beginning on March 28 will be the first time the chicken sandwiches will be sold at the park, according to Barren County Parks and Recreation Administrative Assistant Missy Towell, noting that Chick-fil-A personnel will have their own tent and point-of-sale system.

They will also be offering chicken biscuits for Saturday games in addition to the sausage biscuits offered previously.
