Several area students were recognized for the academic achievements at Eastern Kentucky University.
The university in Richmond, Kentucky, recently released its Fall Dean’s List, and President’s List.
President’s List students from Barren County and Glasgow include:
Kaelin Andrew Burks, Aviation
Masin Frazier, Occupational Safety
Haylee Mae Gregory, Social Work
Ross Evans Jessie, Occupational Safety
Marlene Ryan Malone, Risk Management and Insurance
Mattie Dean Mansfield, Occupational Science
Kara Rene Stovall, Social Work
Dean’s List students from Barren County and Glasgow include:

Alanis N. Matthews, Criminal Justice

Claudia Ellen Phelps, Sociology
To achieve Dean’s List honors, students taking 12 credit hours must earn a minimum 3.75 GPA; students taking 13 credit hours must earn a minimum 3.65 GPA; and students taking 14 or more credit hours must earn a minimum 3.5 GPA. All grade point averages are out of a possible 4.0.
The President’s Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement, earned by full-time undergraduate students who attain a 4.0 GPA for the semester. This award represents the highest undergraduate recognition of academic achievement for a semester at EKU.
