A Cave City house was deemed a total loss after a fire engulfed the building Thursday afternoon.
Cave City Fire Chief Kevin Jandt told Glasgow News 1 on Jan. 23 that there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire at 308 Ford Street. He also said the fire appeared to have been started by a wood stove that was in the house.
Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Cave City police and fire departments, the Hiseville Fire Department and the Park City Fire Department responded to the house fire, according to the Jan. 22 911 activity report.
Crews were on scene for roughly an hour, Jandt said.
