(October 30, 2023) Scottsville, KY — A Scottsville man is facing drug charges following an incident Sunday night.
Around 8:09pm, Scottsville Police Officers were dispatched regarding a report of a reckless driver. While responding to the call, officers met a vehicle matching the description of the reckless driver. Officers saw the vehicle run off the road and into a ditch. When they approached the driver, they noticed what seemed to be a strong odor of marijuana.
Through investigation, officers found pills as well as a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. The driver, 23-year-old Rian T. Ford of Scottsville, was arrested and charged with third degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence – aggravating circumstances; first degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, first offense; third degree possession of a controlled substance, drug unspecified; prescription controlled substance not in proper container; reckless driving; one headlight; leaving the scene of an accident; and second degree criminal mischief.
Ford was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
