(October 26, 2023) Cave City, KY — Around 2:51am Monday morning, Cave City Police Officer Wesley Hicks was patrolling in the area of the Holiday Motel on North Dixie Highway when he heard loud music that was disturbing the neighbors coming from one of the rooms.
Officer Hicks made contact with David Horton, Timothy Gibson, and Gidget Parker. While he was speaking with them, Officer Hicks observed a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance that he suspected to be methamphetamine on a night stand inside the room door. He gained consent to search the residence and found methamphetamine, several glass pipes, cash, and a set of digital scales.
As a result of the investigation, Horton, Gibson, and Parker were all arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
Horton is charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, more than 2 grams – methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gibson and Parker are each charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
