Doyle Ray Bush of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Ossie Dean Bush and Alice Maurine Slinker Bush, was born on Sunday, August 3, 1930 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Green Hill Rehab and Care Center in Greensburg. He was 92 years, 6 months, and 29 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church and also attended the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired machinist for C. Lee Cook Manufacturing Company. Mr. Bush was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force from August 5, 1950 until August 9, 1954 and was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Imogene “Jean” Barnes Bush on May 12, 2020 having united in marriage on January 1, 1953.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Robin Bush, Danny and Lana Bush, and Joey and Kaylene Bush all of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law: Julie and Jeff Walker of Greensburg; nine grandchildren: Heather Bush, Brandi Bush, Emillee Whitlow and husband, Jonathon, Becca Bush, Colton Bush and girlfriend, Courtney Turner, Jake Walker and wife, Jenna, Raylen Cowherd, Brody Bush and fiancé, Brooke Rainwater, and Gunner Bush and girlfriend, Madi Corbin; nine great-grandchildren: Joshua Skaggs, Lauren Skaggs, Chloe Bush, Breanna Bush, Max Whitlow, Ellie Whitlow, Reed Walker, Remi Cowherd, and Rayne Cowherd; a great-great-grandchild: Skyler Skaggs; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Bush was also preceded in death by a brother: Edward D. Bush.

The funeral services for Doyle Ray Bush will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Glasgow D.A.V. Honor Guard.
Visitation is requested after 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pierce Community Cemetery Fund or the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124 which can be made at the funeral home.
