Ruth Alice McGuire, 74, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Scottsville, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at Carmel Health & Living in Carmel, IN. The Indianapolis, IN native was a homemaker and former employee of Federal Mogul, Wagner Brake and Washington Overall Manufacturing. She was a daughter of the late George Drummons Yadon and Myrtle Joyce Randolph Yadon and wife of the late Isaac Harold McGuire.
She is survived by 1 son: Ben McGuire and wife, Gerrie, Port Hadlock, WA;
2 daughters: Carolyn McLaughlin and husband, Mark, Fortville, IN and Joyce Spears and husband, Terry, Scottsville, KY;
1 step daughter: Darlene Meador and husband, David, Glasgow, KY;
6 grandchildren: Kristin Smith (Tim), Heather Mitchell (Matt), Shauna Stinson, Miranda McGuire, Kaycee Edwards (Roland), Isaac Smith (Miranda);
3 step grandchildren: Andy Sexton, Jacob Sexton and Sarah Tibbs (Christian);
7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Jayne Rose and step grandson: Travis McLaughlin.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Rippy officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
