Orene Vincent, age 94, of Sweeden, departed this life on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Genesis Edmonson Center. The Edmonson County native was born on June 8, 1928 to the late Efford “Elbow” and Ethel Meredith. She was married to Dewey Truman Vincent, who also preceded her in death.
Orene was a homemaker and worked with her hands to care for her family’s needs. She was a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church, and the Green River Order of Eastern Star #577.
She leaves to honor her memory— her daughters, Suzy Wood (Barry) and Debbie Doyle (Jerry) all of Brownsville; grandchildren, Natalie Basham (Tommy), Katherine Hall (David), Matthew Wood (Cecily) and Andrew Doyle (Ashley) and great-grandchildren, Taylor Harrison, Katherine Hall, Truman Hall, Gavin Basham, Gunner Basham and Cordelia Hall. She was also predeceased by an infant son, Dewey T. Vincent, Jr. and her brothers, Charles and Glen Meredith.
Interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery.
