Olivia (Emmert) Hall, 97, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Monroe County Medical Center. She was born on April 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Benton C. and Phoebe (Thompson) Emmert. Olivia was united in marriage on September 9, 1948, to the late Edgar Hall. She was a member of the Freewill Church of Christ. Olivia enjoyed quilting, baking, and her flower gardens. She was a member of the Golden Thimble Quilters, active in the DAV Monroe County Auxillary, and along with her husband was instrumental in the founding of the Isenberg Cemetery Committee.
She is survived by one son, J.C. Hall and wife Naomi of Lake Wales, Florida; four daughters, Barbara Miller and husband Wayne, Betty Jo Hall and Joe Fred Butler, Brenda Burks and Bonita Hollinsworth and husband Michael all of Tompkinsville; one brother, Jack Emmert and wife Janelle of Brooks, Kentucky; one sister, Dean Gettings of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Abby Trent and husband Jimmy, Lori Miller and David Burks; two great-grandchildren, Emma Trent and Clay Burks also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jared Robert Hall; one son-in-law, Ricky Burks; five brothers, Ervin, Francis, Ray, Eugene, and Joe Emmert; three sisters, Opal Bartley, Geneva Dyer, and Aletha Walden; and two infant siblings.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Isenberg Cemetery. David Hurst will officiate the service.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday Evening, and Friday morning after 7:00 a.m. until the time for the service.
