The Glasgow Scotties hosted Bowling Green for their only game last week, and lost 63-61.
The game was a dead-heat throughout. Glasgow led 16-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Scotties led by a point at halftime, 26-25, and the game was tied 43-43 after three quarters.
The Purples took the lead for good with a 7-0 run early in the final period. They led 52-47 after the run.
After Bowling Green led 55-50, Glasgow got to within one, 55-54. Jeremiah Moore hit a pair of free throws, while Trevis Collor made a basket.
The Purples pushed their lead back to four, 60-56, but the Scotties responded again. Jaylen Bradley hit a shot, then Jackson Norris drew a charge on the out of bounds play. That set up Collor for another shot that tied the game at 60-60 with 37 seconds left in the game.
Bowling Green scored what proved to be the winning basket nine seconds later.
The Scotties had a 3-pointer attempt at the buzzer blocked.
Jerrick Martin led the Scotties with 18 points, while Jaylen Bradley added 16, and Jeremiah Moore finished with 12.
The Scotties (1-2) are back in action today at 4:30 p.m. against North Hardin at Barren County High School.
