Willard ‘Jack’ Stapleton, Cave City

Willard “Jack” Stapleton, age 66 of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was retired from J.L. French. He attended services at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed the the outdoors, fishing, playing basketball, and was an avid UK Wildcats fan.

He is the son of the late Raymond J. Stapleton and the late Cleo Corbin Stapleton.

He is preceded in death by four siblings, Sandra Stapleton, Ray Stapleton, Cynthia Bradshaw, and Brian Stapleton; two brother’s-in-law, Russ McGaha and Dean Bell.

He is survived by his daughter, Tressa Stapleton Kerely (Avery Jr.), Knoxville, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Ava Kerely, Knoxville, Tennessee; his significant other, Joyce Stivers, Cave City; seven siblings, Joetta Fletcher (Daryl), Columbia, Kentucky, Barbara McGaha, Columbia, Kentucky, Michael Stapleton, El Paso, Texas, Wilma Handy (Greg), Columbia, Kentucky, Sheila Hodges (Jerry), Princeton, Kentucky, Greg Stapleton, Columbia, Kentucky, and Erik Stapleton, Haines City, Florida.

Honoring the wishes of Jack, cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:00PM CT at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Robby Ward officiating. Brooks Funeral Home is assisting with the services.
