Barren County was inhospitable to Green County on Tuesday night. The Trojans poured in 82 points to beat the visiting Dragons, 82-64, in the season opener for both teams.
Green opened the game with a 20-17 lead after the first quarter. Barren’s defense tightened in the second period, and it led 41-32 at the break. Kade Hardy hit a pair of 3s in the quarter to spark a 24-12 advantage.
The Trojans posted 19-10 run in the third quarter to lead 60-42 after three.
