Former Glasgow Scottie John Carter Myers posted a career day against Cumberlands on Saturday, and was rewarded for his efforts.
The Georgetown College senior was named the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week after the Tigers rallied to beat the Patriots 35-28. Myers had a 34-yard interception return that set up the game-winning rushing touchdown with just over five minutes to play. He also recorded six tackles and forced a fumble.
Myers is tied for eighth in the MSC with 51 total tackles this season while his seven pass breakups is fourth best in the league, according to a press release from the conference.
No. 21 Georgetown hosts No. 11 Campbellsville on Saturday in its final regular season home game of the season.
