Anna Kempton, age 65 of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Metcalfe Health Care Center. Anna was born on January 19, 1960 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late James Spencer Wray and Matry Delana Copas Wray. She was of Baptist faith and was a former employee of Sutton Shirt Corporation. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband. Gary Kempton; one son, James Elvis Wayne Kempton; two sisters, Gayle Ballard and Margaret Wray.
Anna is survived by one daughter, Julie Kempton of Albany, Kentucky; six brothers, Jamie Wray, Troy Wray(Susan), Timmy Wray, Randall Wray, and James “Buddy” Wray(Judy) all of Burkesville, Kentucky and Ricky Wray of Edmonton, Kentucky; four sisters, Mariedith Wray of Edmonton, Kentucky, Martha Hulse(Ferrie) of Burkesville, Kentucky, Bonnie Isenberg(Bruce) of Tompkinsville, Kentucky and Patty Wray of Summer Shade, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Tony Dewayne Groce, Teanna Delana Groce, Marilyn Beckynpearl Goatee, Maeson Garyn Charleston Goatee, Chloe Kempton, Emma Kempton and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 04, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Family requests visitation on Tuesday, November 4 from 10 A.M. till 1 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
