Tommy Ray Pennington, Glasgow

Tommy Ray Pennington, age 76, of Glasgow, KY, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, at his home, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on February 23, 1949, in Metcalfe County, to the late Thomas and Maxine Firkins Pennington.

Tommy retired from Farmers RECC as a lineman after 38 years, a job he truly enjoyed. He had a deep love for farming and his horses, which brought him great joy throughout his life. He was also a member of the House of Prayer Church and a veteran of the U S Army serving during the Korean War.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Lorie Pennington; two children, Todd Pennington (Megan) and Tonya Reece (Johnny); five grandchildren,  Nathan Fields (Brianna), Chase Pennington, Nickolas Fields (Taylor), Mason Pennington, and Jayden Pennington (Bailey) and several great grandchildren; his brother, Mike Pennington; his sister, Betty Morgan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by two siblings, Jimmy Pennington and Judy Cross.

In accordance with Tommy’s wishes, cremation has been honored. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home in Edmonton, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Bro. Donnie Jessie and Bro. Nick Fields will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to TJ Samson Hospice.
