Earl Franklin ‘Buddy’ Jessie, Edmonton

Earl Franklin “Buddy” Jessie, 78, of Edmonton, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 16, 1947, in Beechville, Kentucky to the late Hubert Earl and Laura England Jessie.
Mr. Jessie was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, mowing, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Walbert Jessie of Edmonton; two children,  Lisa Hubbard (Alvin) and Greg Jessie (Christina) all of Edmonton; seven grandchildren, Matthew Hubbard (Rachel), Nicholas Hubbard (Cassidy), Anna Piper (Michael), Kyersten Gearlds, Devin Jessie, Destiny Streeval, and Destiney Jessie; four great grandchildren Owen Piper, Evagail Piper, Joshua Hubbard, and Carrie Hubbard and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings Lois Goad, Diane Jessie, Jerry Jessie, and Bobby Jessie.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, November 3, 2025, at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home and on Monday after 10:00am at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Bro. Michael Hubbard and Bro. Johnny Hubbard will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Nicholas Hubbard, Matthew Hubbard, Devin Jessie, Bobby Daniel Jessie, Brad Jessie, and Michael Piper. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Jessie, Tyler Walbert, Mike Hiser, Jonathan Hiser, and Larry Goad.
Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
