Howard Bruce Baise, age 77 of Louisville, Kentucky died Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville. Bruce was born on July 10, 1948 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Bronnie Hugh Baise and Edith Butler Baise. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran and was a longtime flooring installation and sales professional. Bruce was self employed for many years, ending his career as a top notch salesman with Carpet Mart. Bruce was very proud of his military service and encouraged other young men and women to stay in the service until they could retire. He loved being in the outdoors and enjoying nature, including fishing and duck hunting. In his younger years he loved playing softball. Bruce had a love and bond with his dogs that never ended. He enjoyed his family and friends and always cherished his “Pop’s Angels”. Above all, he loved his wife and the life they built together with their children.
In addition to his parents Bruce was preceded in death by one brother Butler Hugh Baise and one brother-in-law Shelby Riddle along with other loved ones, Sherry Ann Walker and Kelly Wayne Cockerill.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Riddle Baise; one daughter, Donna Cockerill (John) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; two sons, Michael Baise(Dredra) of Somerset, Kentucky and Jason Baise of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Gary Baise of Burkesville, Kentucky; one sister, Jimmie Bryant (Tom) of Burkesville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Samantha Allen(Jon), Ryan Whelan(Taylor), Justin Whelan, Mitchell Cockerill (Myrandah), Kasey Cockerill(Charlie), Brandon Baise, Lexi Baise; five great grandchildren, Walker, Isla, Landon, Bella, and Eli; nieces and nephews, Jay Baise, Todd Baise, Tracy McNally, Ronda Clutts, Keith Riddle, Jameye Harbison, Michael Barnhart, Randy Garner; his aunt, Jean McCoy; brothers-in-law, Rondal Riddle and Donnie Riddle and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on Saturday October 18 from 6 A.M. until time for the funeral service at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
