Paul Herman Merriam, Scottsville

Paul Herman Merriam, 87, of Scottsville, Kentucky died Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Edward Herman Merriam and Helen Ann Kreutz Merriam.  He was a U. S. Army veteran, former employee of Bremner Biscuit Company and security guard and former owner and operator of Merriam Machine Shop.  

He is survived by 2 sons,  Paul Merriam II and Edward Merriam (Priscilla), all of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; 1 daughter,  Helen Fann (Jerry), Scottsville, Kentucky; 3 daughters-in-law,  Cheryl Trulock, Liberty, Kentucky, Julia Merriam, Scottsville, Kentucky and Denise Clemens, Shepherdsville, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren,  Josh Ottersbach, Amanda Ottersbach, Amy Ottersbach, James Clemens, John Paul Merriam, Jessica Merriam; 6 great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren,  Tracy Rhein (Allen), Samuel Trulock, Chris Trulock (Sabrina),Tiffany Henderson (Josh), Heather Clemens, Robert Fann, Laura Martin (Zach) and Desiree Fann; 2 step great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by 1 son,  Johann Merriam; 2 sisters,  Priscilla Merriam and Elaine Merriam; 1 brother; his ex-wife,  Billie Joan Wise Blair and 1 step son,  Samuel Trulock. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating and burial to follow at Guardian Angel Trulock Cemetery in Elkhorn, Kentucky.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
