As a young man Henry was an avid runner. But as he got older, he had to slow down to walking and other exercises to stay fit. Sadly, health issues slowed him down so he was unable to make his walks around the reservoir.

He was the beloved son of the late James S. Green and the late Mary Kathleen Green.

He is preceded in death by his special friend, Joy Cabbage Carden; four sisters, Dorothy Mae Hodges, Bettye Queen Barlow, Doris Jean Reed and Connie Frances Jordan; three brothers, James Allen Green, Glenn Greene and Michael Green.
