Mrs. Mary Ellen (Snyder) Owens 75 of Burkesville, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born in Fostoria, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 26, 1950, a daughter of Charles & Ruth (Yates) Snyder. She was of the Christian Faith, a devoted homemaker, and farmer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Owens, whom she wed on August 29, 1969; son, Joey Owens; brothers, Danny Lee, and John Snyder.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Owens (& Amy) of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Linda Owens-Wills (& Jeff) of Curtice, Ohio, Jamie Owens (& Charlene) of Burkesville, Kentucky; siblings, Donald Snyder of Burkesville, Kentucky and Mark Snyder of Florida; grandchildren, Natalie Owens, Katie Owens, and Cole Owens.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Family will receive friends starting at 11:00 AM until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
