Gerald Wayne Sloan, 66, of Smiths Grove died Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his residence.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Talmadge Earl and Emogene Smith Sloan. He was the husband of the late Beverly Martin Sloan and is preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Tommy Sloan; one sister, Ruth Ann Sloan; a daughter, Shatana Rigsby; one great grandson, Shawn Anthony Sloan III.
Gerald was retired from Southern Recycling and a member of St. Joes Catholic Church.
His survivors include two sons, Scotty Sloan and Shawn Sloan and his wife Ashley; his finance, Tammy Rigsby, eight grandchildren, Shawn Sloan, Jr., Ilisha Sloan, Adien Sloan, Matthew Sloan, Amber Sloan, Kyle Rigsby, Gabriel Rigsby and Makinsey Rigsby; several great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Sloan; and one sister, Omie Josephine Jesse.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery. Hardy & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
